Rachael Owhin has been a key alumni member of the Powerlist Foundation since 2011, when she was a delegate on the inaugural leadership programme. She stayed involved with the Foundation in the following years as a buddy, mentor and part of the project team for the Powerlist Foundation and Deloitte Leadership Programme (PFDLP).
Rachael graduated from the University of Sussex in 2013 with a Bachelor of Laws, which included one year abroad at the illustrious Spelman College, USA. During her time at university, she held a number of leadership positions including Trustee of the Students’ Union. Following this, Rachael completed her Master’s degree at the University of Oxford, for which she raised over £10,000 in eight days through her successful crowdfunding campaign #Oxford10000.
Professionally, she has undertaken a number of legal and research positions, including internships with Clifford Chance, the Scottish Parliament and work with the International Migration Institute.
A keen traveller, Rachael has studied, worked and volunteered across the world, including programmes in the USA, China, Bangladesh, South Africa, Ghana and most recently Nigeria.
