On behalf of Ken Olisa OBE, the Lord Lieutenant of Greater London and Chair of the Powerlist Foundation we would like to invite you, your friends and associates to the first ever SThree Foundation Charity Ball in aid of the Powerlist Foundation and Generating Genius – two charities working together to ensure that talented young people from diverse backgrounds are represented across all professions in order to build a diverse leadership pipeline. The CEO of SThree is Gary Elden OBE, a Trustee of the Powerlist Foundation.

Join us on Thursday 27th July for an evening of fun, food and fundraising at a ball hosted by our partner SThree, at The Brewery, Chiswell Street EC1 in support of The Powerlist Foundation and Generating Genius.

The evening will be hosted by the wonderful and hilarious Chizzy Akudolu, well known for her Holby City fame as well as various comedy appearances and we will be hearing the talented jazz singer Rikette Genesis. Brixton born singer Rikette is an impressive talent with the ability to fuse jazz and soul with her amazing voice and afrobeat style.

Throughout the evening you will hear from inspiring Powerlist Foundation and Generating Genius alumni and students, enjoy a three course sumptuous dinner and wine, prepared by award winning Brewery chefs.
There will also be a silent and live auction with money can’t buy experiences up for grabs, so find out more and get your tickets now!

Powerlist Foundation exists to prepare 18 to 25 year olds for leadership roles. Over the past six years, 300 young people of African-Caribbean heritage have found success in their transition from education to the workplace by participating in the Foundation’s highly acclaimed 3-day annual leadership programme through developing and improving their leadership skills.
The boost to the attendees’ capabilities has resulted in a mutually supportive alumni network of high-performing leaders of tomorrow.  As Jessica, one of the Foundation’s members puts it:
“This programme really has been life changing I feel incredibly blessed to have been one of the students chosen. I have learnt so many life lessons such as how to be courageous and go for what you want and I have also gained lifelong friends. Words are not enough to express my gratitude for everyone who made this programme a reality”. See the Foundation’s booklet and watch the video to learn more about the impact of our work.
Due to the success of the Foundation’s leadership programme (we experienced a 60% increase in applications for our 2017 programme), there is a high demand from young people to extend our reach geographically and demographically to embrace many more of tomorrows’ leaders whose progress is hampered by the tough realities of their backgrounds.
Why you should attend
Throughout this spectacular evening we will be celebrating and sharing success as well as raising as much money as possible. There will be opportunities to bid for some amazing items and donate easily via our interactive iPads!
We invite you to join the fun and dig deep to help support the next generation of leaders!
Your donations and bids will support:
  • Outstanding young leaders through Powerlist Foundation’s Leadership Development Programmes with SThree’s help throughout the selection and recruitment process. Please watch our video and read our booklet
  • Geniuses through Generating Genius’ Future Talent Programme co-delivered with SThree
We do hope you will join us, however if you are unable to attend, you are most welcome to share the invitation with your friends and colleagues, participate in the silent auction, invest in Powerlist Foundation’s young members or you may wish to advertise on our charity ball website.
